Ms. Shu is currently an attorney at Beijing Changji Law Firm. Born in 1969, she started her legal practice in 2000. Attorney Shu Mei used to work for Beijing Shilian New Epoch Law Firm and Beijing Lixing Law Firm. She obtained her master of law degree from Beijing University, bachelor degree in economics and international trade from Renmin University of China, Beijing, and graduation diploma in English from Beijing Second Foreign Languages Institute. Among the litigation and non-litigation cases attorney Shu Mei handled involving international trade and transactions include Releasing Goods Without Bill of Lading on International Maritime Shipping Shenyang; Jinhe Arts & Crafts Co., Ltd v. Shanghai Defidesi International Shipping Consultation & Service Co., Ltd. Attorney Shu Mei was also retained as a legal advisor for China Yanzhou Mine Group for contracting the construction of east to west main railroad project in Venezuela, Electronics Co., Motorola China Ltd, Malaysia Golden Lion Group, MTL Instrument China, China Fuxing Pulp Co., Ltd, Amwayhua Instrument (Shanghai) Co., Ltd, Beijing Leqiao Science & Trade Co., Ltd, etc.

Real Estate. Attorney Shu Mei provides full legal services for foreign investments in China's real estate market, including representing foreign investors in the whole purchase process in high-end homes, existing homes sold at secondary markets, and traditional Chinese courtyard style homes. Attorney Shu Mei has handled over several dozens of cases involving disputes over existing homes sold at secondary markets. As a legal advisor for Beijing Mobile & Telecommunication Design Institute, Attorney Shu Mei advised on the purchase of the¥350 million Haixing Plaza Office Building by China Mobile. She also represented several groups of property owners in class action lawsuits. Invited by Guangsha Time of Beijing Youth Daily, Attorney Shu Mei expressed her views from an attorney's perspective on the issue of sales of traditional Chinese courtyard style homes. Her article entitled Legal Precaution to be taken in the Sales of Traditional Chinese Courtyard Style Homes was selected into A Collection of China's Contemporary Think Treasury.

Copyright Protection. As a member of China Intellectual Property Right Society, Attorney Shu Mei represented clients in a number of copyright dispute cases, which drew considerable national attention and were reported by news media, including Copyright Infringement Case of Geng Zhiling v. the State Population & Family Planning Committee and Cultural Promotion of China's Population, Copyright Dispute involving Wang Xuexian, et al. v. Ji'nan Success Management School et al, which was included in the Classic Case Studies on Intellectual Property Right Protection in China. Other cases, include Changji Law Firm v. Beijing Huacheng Law Firm, (online copyright infringement dispute), Beijing Beautiful Scene Pictorial Co., Ltd v. Beijing Lianbao Telecommunication & Electronics Science Technology Co., Ltd (infringement on pictorial Computer World). Su Zhongjie v. Peng Changcheng, Chief Editor of Reader Magazine, et al. (infringement on the Authorship right of the 12 volume Humanism Reader's Book edited by Su Zhongjie which was reported on medias in Beijing due to its significance.)
